About

The PartTimePoker Blog started off as my personal blog and eventually evolved into more of an addendum to the main Part Time Poker site. PTP is a site with poker strategy, humor, interviews and forums,a long with rake back and online propping listings.

This blog is now primarily intended to be a supplement to Part Time Poker, with updates about new content, news about the site, info on developing projects, and unique content (like commentaries on poker news) that works better in a blog format, although from time to time a bit about me playing may sneak in.

Why Choose Dealt Rakeback?

By Chris

generic_chips_pocket_queensOnline poker sites offer enticing promotions to potential players in the form free bonuses or rakeback. The bonus money is a one and done deal. In contrast, the rakeback option will continue to pay you back as long as you continue playing on that site. If you are interested in signing up with a new online poker site, you should take a moment and familiarize yourself with different rakeback methods.

What Is This Rake?

The rake is the method that poker sites use to charge players for using their tables. Sites simply take five to ten percent of the pot f8or themselves and this is known as the rake. Generally the rake adds up to about three or four dollars, and if the hand ends before the flop, most places won’t even collect the rake.

How Does the Dealt Rake Method Operate?

One way that online poker sites calculate the individual rake is the dealt rake method. When all hands are dealt, the players receive equal credit for the rake. Regardless of bets made or hands folded, every player is credited the rake. As long as the player places down blinds when it is their turn, they are counted in the rake. In the most common situation with five players, each receives credit for 20 percent of the rake.

One of the biggest sites using this method is Absolute Poker and if you wish to play with dealt rakeback in a 3D environment you should check out PKR rakeback.

Why Choose the Dealt Rake Method?

Players who operate with extreme caution will find the dealt rake to be the best rakeback option The reason is that even if these wary players play a minimal number of hands, they still receive as much credited rakeback as the loose players betting on every hand. The more ideal rakeback method for loose players is the contributed rake method. The contributed rake method awards players rakeback in congruence to the amount they have individually contributed to the pot.
