DrNobody has been a member since may of ‘07 and has been able to get over 3,000 player points and over 6,000 staker points. He isn’t much of a poster, but seemed to run BAPs and stakes well. But he now owes almost $600 to investors.

A new tool for live rails was introduced today by member Talking Poker. The “TP Bot” will be able to post in threads via text messages sent to an email account. This has been something that has been needed for a long time and hopefully all of the kinks can be worked out soon.

A lot of sketchy activity has been going on lately, and a lot of it has been displayed by some of the more long time members.

wildfreak was given DNS today after having Investigation gear. Wild did post yesterday regarding his IG and said he had started a new job and just didn’t have time. However nothing has gone to appeals and the over $2k of investors money that he holds still seems to be in jeopardy.

Dacus3 was also given DNS today, he made his own RA thread, and reported that he basically blew the $2k of investors money with poor management. It looks as if he will make an attempt to pay back, but the process could be lengthy, as he stated in the RA thread “I make roughly 200$ per week at this job, so the payback process will most likely take some time, but I will not run away or any bull shit from this terrible mistake that I made.”

iamweazel has been displaying some sketchy behavior as well as he has been gone from the site for about two weeks with no contact. He now has DNS. Weazel has about $700 of investors money.

KYStudplaya, whom many apparently considered a pretty good roll risk, has also gone mia. KYStud is the one with ducttape’s (DNS) info, and appears to have gone MIA at about the same time. Many fear that both have rolled and nothing may be heard from them. KY has about $1k of investors money and DNS.

Hopefully all of these members can come back and get everything together soon.

It was posted today by jordankickz that Peter “pmarrsouth” Marr was deep in the live, 6 max, WSOP event 21. The news came as a surprise to many, as a bunch of the top online and live pros are participating in the tournament as well. But pmarr definitely appears to be holding his own. The event is a $1,500 buy in with over $600k to first. The last update given was with 132 players left, with 126 making it to the money. Pmarr has approximately $50,000 in chips. The three day event will end with Final Table play on Saturday.

Spc. Ross McGinnis, who was killed Dec. 4, 2006, in Iraq when he smothered a grenade with his body, will receive the Medal of Honor, sources told Army Times.
McGinnis, 19, is the second soldier to receive the nation’s highest valor award for actions while serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Sgt. 1st Class Paul Ray Smith, who was killed April 4, 2003, fighting off insurgents in a fierce firefight south of Baghdad, was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor two years after he died.
McGinnis, of 1st Platoon, C Company, 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, is credited with saving the lives of four fellow soldiers.
On Dec. 4, 2006, McGinnis was manning the turret in the last Humvee of a six-vehicle patrol in Adhamiyah in northeast Baghdad when an insurgent threw a grenade from the roof of a nearby building.
“Grenade!” yelled McGinnis, who was manning the vehicle’s M2 .50-caliber machine gun.
McGinnis, facing backwards because he was in the rear vehicle, tried to deflect the grenade but it fell into the Humvee and lodged between the radios.
As he stood up to get ready to jump out of the vehicle, as he had been trained to do, McGinnis realized the other four soldiers in the Humvee did not know where the grenade had landed and did not have enough time to escape.
McGinnis, a native of Knox, Pa., threw his back against the radio mount, where the grenade was lodged, and smothered the explosive with his body.
The grenade exploded, hitting McGinnis on his sides and lower back, under his vest. He was killed instantly. The other four men survived.
McGinnis, who was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery, will be honored during a ceremony at the White House. The ceremony is expected to take place sometime in June.”
